Aquatic Ecology & Evolution

PhD-student in Philine Feulners group at Eawag

My research interests are in the areas where population genetics and evolutionary biology meet (bio-)informatics. My PhD project focuses on the genomic analysis of algae-virus co-evolution experiments. We aim to identify rapid adaptive traits, as well as disentangle the effects of selection and demography (i.e. evolution and ecology) on the observed variation.

here is a link to my PhD project which is conducted together with another research group at the MPI in Plön (project page)

This project is integrated into the Priority Programm 1819 of the German Science Foundation
